Carrie Underwood Announces New Album ‘Denim & Rhinestones’

Carrie Underwood has announced her ninth studio album, Denim and Rhinestones, will drop in a couple of months.

“I can’t wait any longer! I have a new album coming June 10!” Underwood announced to her fans on Instagram. “Get ready for #DenimandRhinestones!”

Underwood also shared the cover art of the album, which features the singer in a denim dress, topped by a denim jacket.

The announcement comes just weeks after Underwood dropped her latest single, “Ghost Story,” on March 18. She also performed the new song for the first time live at the 2022 Grammy Awards.

Underwood’s most recent country album was Cry Pretty, which dropped in 2018 and included the singles “Love Wins,” “Southbound” and the powerhouse title track. The album was met with mostly positive reviews from music critics and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, making Underwood the first woman to top the chart with four country albums.

She also released a Christmas album, My Gift, in 2020, and a gospel album, My Savior, in 2021.
