CMT Announces First LGBTQ+ Event At Country Music Festival

CMT has announced Country Proud as part of CMA Fest, which will mark the first inclusive LGBTQ+ event at a country music festival.

Country Pride, presented by RNBW Collective, will be held at Assembly Food Hall in Nashville on June 9 from 7 pm to 10 pm.

The three-hour show will feature performances by prominent artists within the LGBTQ+ community.

They include Shelly Fairchild, Jessica Rose, Kentucky Gentleman, Chris Housman, Breann Young, Zoe Cummins, Steff Mehan, Lila Mccann, Gina Venier, Kristen Merlin, Sonia Leigh, and Harper Grae. CMT’s Cody Alan will be making a grand appearance alongside Apple Radio’s Hunter Kelly. Concert-goers will also receive surprise performances by allies and friends within the country space.

After a two-year hiatus due to the global pandemic CMA Fest – country music’s largest festival will return to Music City during June 9-June 12.
