Kelly Clarkson Covers Brooks & Dunn Classic ‘Boot Scootin’ Boogie’

Kelly Clarkson covered Brooks & Dunn‘s classic “Boot Scootin’ Boogie” during the “Kellyoke” segment of “The Kelly Clarkson Show” on Friday, February 18.

Clarkson was accompanied by her band Y’all as she performed “Boot Scootin’ Boogie,” which was written by Ronnie Dunn.

The song was originally recorded by Asleep at the Wheel for their 1990 album, Keepin’ Me Up Nights, but Brooks & Dunn later released their own version on their 1991 debut album Brand New Man.

“Heel, toe, do-si-do, come on baby, let’s go boot scootin’/ Oh, Cadillac, BlackJack, baby, meet me out back/ We’re gonna boogie/ Get down, turn around, go to town. Boot scootin’ boogie,” Clarkson sings in the cover.
