Rapper Snoop Dogg and singer-songwriter Kelly Clarkson will host NBC‘s new “American Song Contest.”

The live music competition series, based on the popular “Eurovision Song Contest,” is making its U.S. premiere on NBC on March 21 at 8 p.m. ET.

The nine-episode music reality show, to be telecast every Monday night, will find the champion during the grand finale on May 9.

A total of 56 singers, including solo artists, duos, and bands representing one of the 50 U.S. states, five territories, and Washington D.C., will compete to win the vote for best original hit song.

The American Song Contest Academy will serve as juries.

“I am honored to host American Song Contest alongside my lil sis Kelly Clarkson, aka Miss Texas,” Snoop said in a statement.

“I have been a fan and love the concept of Eurovision and am thrilled to bring the musical phenomenon to America,” Clarkson added. “I’m so excited to work with Snoop and can’t wait to see every state and territory represented by artists singing their own songs.”
