Luke Combs will not perform at the CMT Music Awards, reportedly due to Covid infection.

Country Now quoted a spokesperson for CMT as saying that the 31-year-old country superstar tested positive for Covid-19, and is currently quarantining.

“Unfortunately, Luke Combs won’t be with us tomorrow,” the spokesperson said in a statement, referring to a taping for the awards show, which was scheduled to be held on Thursday.

Kelsea Ballerini will co-host the award ceremony on April 11 with Captain America actor Anthony Mackie.

The show will include performances from Ballerini, leading nominee Kane Brown, current chart-topper Cody Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Little Big Town, Maren Morris and Ryan Hurd, Carly Pearce, Cole Swindell with Lainey Wilson and Keith Urban.

Additional performers and presenters will be announced in the coming weeks.
