Wynonna Judd Teams Up With Waxahatchee On New Duet ‘Other Side’

Wynonna Judd has teamed up with Waxahatchee for a new duet, “Other Side,” the singer’s first release since the death of her mother Naomi Judd. The song is accompanied by a new video of the two artists performing the song together.

“In the midst of everything that has happened, I said that I would continue to sing,” Wynonna said in a statement. “So, here I am. I met Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee) last year and we connected immediately. We recorded ‘Other Side’ in the studio here on the farm and it was one of my favorite recording experiences ever. I’m thankful for the opportunity to sing with the next generation of greatness.”

“Wynonna is an icon and a fountain of wisdom,” Crutchfield adds. “Sharing space with her to create something new was really nothing but a joy and an honor. Her spirit inspires me daily and her continued encouragement has meant the world.”

The song was co-written by Wynonna’s husband Cactus Moser and was recorded on their farmland near Nashville.

Wynonna recently announced The Judds‘ final tour with an all-star lineup featuring Brandi Carlile, Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Little Big Town, and Ashley McBryde.

Wynonna’s mother Naomi Judd, the matriarch of country music duo the Judds, recently passed away on April 30. She was 76 years old.
