Chase Rice Shares Emotional Short Film For New Single 'Bench Seat'

Chase Rice Shares Emotional Short Film For New Single 'Bench Seat'

Chase Rice recently shared an emotional short film for his new single, "Bench Seat."

Directed by Kaiser Cunningham, the seven-plus-minute short film shows mental health struggles faced by many people.

"My buddy was in a really dark place - to the point where he was ready to end his own life. It took a lot for him to take me back to that moment, but when he told me what stopped him it stopped me in my tracks: his dog came and laid his head on his lap, and that connection saved him," Rice explains.

"I wrote this song by myself with the point of view from the dog's perspective - which might not be obvious right away - and what that moment might have meant for the two of them if not for that intervention."

The video encourages people to feel comfortable talking about their mental health issues and seek assistance if required. The video also refers to available resources via wannatalkaboutit.com and encouraging anyone in crisis to call/text 988.

"For the first time in my career, I could envision the whole video as I was writing the song," notes Rice. "I wanted to shine a light on the topic of mental health because this is something that makes way too many people feel alone and especially when addiction becomes part of the picture, one bad moment can have horrible consequences. I personally know how hard it can be to ask for help when you need it, but I hope this helps start a few more conversations and lets people know they really aren't alone."

Taylor Swift Shares New 'Lavender Haze' Video

Taylor Swift recently shared the music video for "Lavender Haze," from her latest album Midnights.

"The Lavender Haze video is out now. There is lots of lavender. There is lots of haze," Swift wrote after the video dropped.

She continued, "There is my incredible costar [Laith Ashley de la Cruz] who I absolutely adored working with. This was the first video I wrote out of the 3 that have been released, and this one really helped me conceptualize the world and mood of Midnights, like a sultry sleepless 70's fever dream. Hope you like it."

Swift directed the video, which shows her wandering through her home in a dream state as flowers sprout from the carpet and her house floats. The clip also features a cameo from Laith Ashley De La Cruz, a transgender activist and actor, who plays Swift's love interest.

Swift had previously released music videos for Midnights cuts "Anti-Hero" and "Bejeweled," both of which she directed.

Zach Bryan Earns Record 32nd Week Atop Billboard's Country Songwriters Chart

Zach Bryan has broken the record for most weeks atop Billboard's Country Songwriters Chart, as the chart dated January 28 ranks him at No. 1 for the 32nd week.

Bryan regained the top spot on the strength of his four songs on the Hot Country Songs chart, including the chart topping "Something in the Orange."

"Burn, Burn, Burn" (No. 29), "Sun to Me" (No. 32) and "The Good I'll Do" (No. 42) are the other Zach Bryan songs listed on the chart.

Out of his 32 reigning weeks, 24 were for consecutive weeks.

Bryan overtook Ashley Gorley as the sole leader among Country Songwriters after sharing the highest rank for many weeks with 31 weeks apiece.

Besides proving his supremacy on Country Songwriters Chart, Bryan is also a topper on both the Billboard Rock & Alternative Songwriters chart and the Rock Songwriters chart.

The weekly Country Songwriters chart is based on total points accrued by a songwriter for each attributed song that appears on the Hot Country Songs chart.

"There are so many things we all want," Janson shared. "We've all gotten caught up in the biggest buck of the season, the newest Chevrolet, or whatever's caught our eye- and that's half the fun of living."

"But when you strip it back, when you look at what really matters, it comes down to that one ride-or-die person who believes in you and your dream, no matter what happens," he added. "I'm blessed because my person is my wife, my manager, and my best friend."

Tyler Hubbard Faces Terry Crews In Dance-Off In 'Dancin' In The Country' Video

Tyler Hubbard Faces Terry Crews In Dance-Off In 'Dancin' In The Country' Video

A video recently released by Tyler Hubbard for "Dancin' In The Country," a song from his debut self-titled solo album, sees him and Terry Crews in a dance-off.

The visual, directed by Stephen Kinigopoulos and Alexa Stone and choreographed by Maya Taylor, shows Crews and his group of biker friends walking into a bar where Hubbard is performing, and the dance floor soon sees the two engaged in an extraordinary "bar fight."

"This video is unlike any video that I've ever been a part of," says Hubbard. "We had the ultimate heavy hitter with Terry Crews on set - he was made for a video like this. One minute, he looked like he was ready to punch a hole in the wall, and the next, he's got the entire room laughing, just being himself. Terry is one of those guys that everyone wants to be around, and he was just perfect for this video."

"Terry and the dancers brought the choreography to life and were able to tell the story through their amazing dancing," he added.

"I was so excited to be asked to do this video with Tyler and when I saw the concept, I thought there was no one else that could pull this off," says Crews. "This video is like a three-minute touchdown celebration, and it was so great to be a part of. For Tyler to allow me to represent something he wrote from his heart means a lot and I can't wait for everyone to see it."

Hubbard's debut solo album is set to arrive on Friday (January 27).

Thomas Rhett Shares New Single 'Angels Don't Always Have Wings'

Country superstar Thomas Rhett recently released a new single, "Angels Don't Always Have Wings."

Previously titled "Angels," the track first appeared on Rhett's most recent album Where We Started and was written by Rhett, Julian Bunetta, Jaten Dimsdale and Josh Thompson.

"This is my favorite song from the album. I wrote it from a personal perspective, but I think it will resonate with a lot of people," said Rhett. "It's about how none of us are perfect, and how lucky we are to have those people in our lives who show up and love us despite our flaws. I often look at my wife and think she's truly an angel, for the love and grace she shows me every single day."

Rhett is currently set to commence the Canadian leg of his Bring The Bar To You Tour with Jordan Davis and Kameron Marlowe, which kicks off on February 9 in Vancouver.

Further, he plans to headline Home Team Tour 23 this summer with Cole Swindell and Nate Smith.
