Legendary country music star Wynonna Judd has announced a 2023 theater tour, called “Back To Wy.”
Judd said she will perform all the songs on her two classic albums – Wynonna (1992) and Tell Me Why (1993) – during the tour.
The 15-city “Back to Wy” Tour is scheduled to kick off in Indianapolis, Indiana, on October 26.
“We’re going to travel back to the 90’s, celebrating my start as a solo artist and performing my first TWO albums, ‘Wynonna’ and ‘Tell Me Why,’ top to bottom, back to back, in their entirety! This means we get to play the hits, the deep cuts, and everything in between,” Judd wrote on Twitter.
“Getting to share this tour with the fans who have been with me for 40 years, means the world to me. As I sit and listen to these two records, I’m flooded with the memories that surrounded that time in my life,” she added. “The fans held me up and supported me through a season of change in 1992, and I now see ‘herstory’ repeating itself. This music healed me then, and is healing me now.”
Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the public on Friday. Presale for Wynation Fan Club begins Tuesday at 10 am local time at https://www.wynonna.com/pages/join.
